Man suffers life

A man has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life-threatening injuries after a collision between a tricycle and a bus.

The collision occurred around 6.20am today (Wednesday, August 10) in Harrison Way at the junction with Station Road in St Ives.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “One man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The collision has caused disruption in the area, but this is expected to be cleared by late morning.”

A spokesperson for East of England Ambulance Service Trust said: “We were called to Station Road in St Ives at around 6.20am following reports of a collision. We sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer and a car from Magpas. Crews treated a male patient at the scene before transporting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further assessment and care.”
